Decorate a Mini Gift Bag

What a quick and simple way to dress up a gift bag! It took no time at all to whip it together!
First I went to my local Walmart and went to the scrapbooking aisle. Here you should find some mini plain coloured gift bags. They come in packs of 5. I only paid $1.88 for them and that's regular price! Great deal!
Then, all you do is cut out some card stock at 5 1/2 X 4 1/4. This should be just a bit bigger than the front and back panel of the bag. I left the back plain and just stuck the red cardstock on one panel. For the front, I used some patterned paper and then used Stampin' Ups scallop circle punch and stamp from the 'Riveting' set. Add some ribbon and a bit of sparkle with some Stickle Glitter on the present, adhere the cardstock on the front of the bag and you're good to go.
What an awesome way to add a personal touch to a gift bag.
Think I might do some of these once I get my Halloween stamps!

Just a card I made for a work mate of mine for her birthday. I am loving my scallop circle punch from Stampin' Up!

Hi!

Here is a fun little card I made for a new co worker who just joined our team. I added some faux stitching along the sides of the pattern paper with Stampin' Up's paper piercing kit and the fine end of my chocolate chip marker.

Winter Accordian Card

This was so much fun to make. It's hard to see the dimensions of it being a 2 dimensional photo but I will try to point a few of them out. On the first panel, the snowballs are all attached with Stampin Dimensionals which is a 3D type of adhesive making the snowballs 'pop' off the card stock a little. The snow at the bottom of the snow men's feet is Liquid Applique which has been heated with a heat gun to 'fluff it up'. The snowman on the 3rd panel is behind a transparent window that was made with clear packing tape and then the sticky side covered with Stampin' Up's Dazzling Diamond glitter. The frame is also popped up with the Stampin Dimensionals. The trees on the last panel were stamped on Designer Series Paper 'Wintergreen' pack and then cut out with a craft knife and adhered to the white background. I had seen the accordion card made on Splitcoaststampers.com but with a different stamp set. So I thought I would create my own take on this idea. Stamp set is 'It's snow time'. Card stock is Sage Shadow, Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery. Maybe I will have to hold a class on this one.

Coaster Mini Album

Wow. I cant believe it's been so long since I posted a project! Well. No time like the present they say. Although I am definately going to make more of an effort to get some more projects done and uploaded.
Here is a fun little coaster album I did using some photos that I took of some friends of ours kids at a park over the weekend. The coasters are 4 x 4 which I had purchased in bulk from someone on ebay. Really good deal too. 100 for like $10-$15 if I remember correctly. Then I just found some paper that I thought worked really well with the whole park theme at my local Craft Warehouse. My goodness I could never work there. I would never get a paycheck. Ha! I used modge podge to stick down the paper and then used my famous liquid chalk in chestnut roan to distress the pages. I made the little photo corners myself by punching out squares, cutting them in half diagonally and cutting little niches out of them. The font for the front was done on the old computer and then I used a nifty run of the mill date stamp which I really like how it turned out actually!

Exciting Stuff!

Hi Everyone!
I apologise that there hasn't been much to look at on my site lately. There is a few reasons for that. One being that I got married in September so that took up a lot of my time. 2 weeks after the wedding my new hubby and I moved to another city. THEN 3 weeks after that our apartment complex suffered a fire where the fire happened to start in the apartment directly above ours. Sadly our apartment suffered a lot of water and smoke damage but luckily I had jost signed up for renters insurance A WEEK before it happened so we were really blessed there! We are now in a new place which we love and have some nice new furniture and things. I also decided it would be a great time to do something I have wanted to do in some time and that was to become a Stampin Up demonstrator. With that I decided I needed a new blog to post things I have made with Stampin Up products. That site is www.stampsilly.blogspot.com I will try to spend time to make other things to post to this site too but I can't promise anything! :)
